Emotionally Focused Therapy
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a structured, evidence-based approach designed to help clients understand and transform their emotional experiences within relationships. It focuses on identifying emotional patterns, fostering secure attachments, and improving communication between individuals. Through EFT, clients learn to recognize and express their core emotions in a safe, supportive environment, leading to stronger connections, increased emotional resilience, and meaningful personal growth.
This method is the one I most commonly utilise when working with couples. Additionally, recognizing attachment styles and patterns of engagement or disengagement has proven highly valuable in my work with individual clients.
I have advanced training in EFT including a clinical externship and supervised practice.
